“Emeril’s Favorite Pastrami Sandwich”
We couldn’t resist including this recipe from Chef Emeril Lagasse. It’s his favorite “Manwich,” with the pastrami simmered in beer and grainy mustard.

Ingredients
- 6 oz pastrami (we recommend Nations Best® First Cut, of course!) 
- 2 Tbsp whole-grain mustard 
- 4 oz beer 
- 3 slices onion, rings intact 
- 1 Tbsp oil 
- Salt & freshly-ground pepper, to taste 
- 2 slices rye bread or thick crusty brown bread 
Directions
Serves 1
- Preheat a grill. Season onions with salt and pepper and brush with oil. 
- In a small saucepan, combine beer and mustard and bring to a boil. Add pastrami and simmer for 3 minutes. 
- Grill onions on both sides and toast bread on a cooler part of the grill. When all ingredients are heated, prepare sandwich.
