    Shepherd’s Pie with Slow-Roasted Brisket


    Shepherds Pie, a traditional British casserole, normally bakes lamb or beef, layered with mashed potatoes. Nations Best® tender Slow-Roasted Brisket adds a rich, smoky flavor and wonderful texture to this classic comfort food.


    • Butter, for greasing
    • 3 c chopped Nations Best® Slow-Roasted Brisket
    • 2 c prepared gravy
    • 2 Tbsp minced onion
    • Salt & freshly-ground black pepper, to taste
    • 2 c prepared mashed potatoes
    • 1 Tbsp butter
    • 1/4 teaspoon paprika


    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly butter a baking dish.
    2. Combine the brisket, gravy, onion and salt and pepper and spoon into the prepared baking dish.
    3. Spread the mashed potatoes over the meat. Dot with the butter and sprinkle with the paprika.
    4. Bake until heated through and the potatoes are browned, about 30 minutes.
