    Pickled Tongue CROCK POT 1 – Pressure Cooker Method


    Never cooked Tongue? Well, here are four simple, basic recipes for Nations Best® Pickled Tongue that will take you on a delicious culinary adventure. Two use a pressure cooker; two are prepared on the stovetop. Then, have fun using the sliced meat in other recipes from sandwiches to served with various sauces, in tacos, salads, pastas and more.

    Meat Suggestions


    • 1 Nations Best® Pickled Beef Tongue (3 lb)
    • 1/2tsp salt
    • 1/4tsp each, oregano, marjoram & summer savory


    1. Rinse the Tongue and place it in a pressure cooker. Add water to cover. Add the remaining ingredients. Pressure cook for 1 hour at 10 or 15 pounds. Remove from the pot and cool.
    2. Remove the connective tissues and skin from the Tongue. The skin should come off easily. Slice the Tongue into 1/4-inch slices crosswise on the diagonal or use as desired.
