Shepherd's Pie with Slow-Roasted Brisket

Shepherds Pie, a traditional British casserole, normally bakes lamb or beef, layered with mashed potatoes. Nations Best® tender Slow-Roasted Brisket adds a rich, smoky flavor and wonderful texture to this classic comfort food.

Ingredients
- Butter, for greasing
- 3 c chopped Nations Best® Slow-Roasted Brisket
- 2 c prepared gravy
- 2 Tbsp minced onion
- Salt & freshly-ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 c prepared mashed potatoes
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly butter a baking dish.
- Combine the brisket, gravy, onion and salt and pepper and spoon into the prepared baking dish.
- Spread the mashed potatoes over the meat. Dot with the butter and sprinkle with the paprika.
- Bake until heated through and the potatoes are browned, about 30 minutes.
