Pickled Tongue CROCK POT 1 - Pressure Cooker Method
Never cooked Tongue? Well, here are four simple, basic recipes for Nations Best® Pickled Tongue that will take you on a delicious culinary adventure. Two use a pressure cooker; two are prepared on the stovetop. Then, have fun using the sliced meat in other recipes from sandwiches to served with various sauces, in tacos, salads, pastas and more.
- 1 Nations Best® Pickled Beef Tongue (3 lb)
- 1/2tsp salt
- 1/4tsp each, oregano, marjoram & summer savory
- Rinse the Tongue and place it in a pressure cooker. Add water to cover. Add the remaining ingredients. Pressure cook for 1 hour at 10 or 15 pounds. Remove from the pot and cool.
- Remove the connective tissues and skin from the Tongue. The skin should come off easily. Slice the Tongue into 1/4-inch slices crosswise on the diagonal or use as desired.
